Visual Testing (VT)
Visual Testing (VT) is the most common and usually first NDT examination step when the inspector using his eyes to look for defects. The human eye has an amazing ability to differentiate between colors, hues, shapes, sizes contrast and texture. Inspections may require use of magnifying glasses, mirrors or borescopes for a closer look or viewing material in limited access locations.
ENKON’s engineers and technicians have the training and experience to perform accurate visual tests to identify various types of discontinuities. Visual inspections are used to detect any visible discontinuities and also to interpret visual data from other NDT processes.
